For the last few days, many senior officers in the Govt of India have been receiving dubious, unnamed letters (marked "CONFIDENTIAL') against an officer who is freshly empanelled to hold secretary rank post in Govt of India and a Joint Secretary rank officer. The complaint or complainants appear to be losers who want to get even with their competitors, not by fair means. The letters claim that two women consultants are being rewarded for purely personal reasons. It says that of the two, one consultant was given an extension for one year whereas the other consultants are being given the extension for not more than a period of 03 months. The intent of the letter is to sling mud on the officers handling one of the PM's most important missions of national importance. These letters also claim that virtually nothing was being done to propel the mission. Many of the senior officers who received such letters have expressed their ire and termed them as something motivated by purely personal reasons.
