Venkaiah Naidu may be the first Vice President who would set too many records at the same time. He may be the first VP with the maximum innings in the Rajya Sabha. He may also be the first VP who is genuinely seen as a son of a farmer. He would be the first national president of a political party ever to become the VP. Once elected, he would also set another record: first parliamentary affairs minister to ever become the VP. Since it's the prime job of the VP to run Rajya Sabha as its chairman, Venkaiah's experience would be a boon to India's parliament. Venkaiah has been a member of the Rajya Sabha since 1998 and has represented Karnataka and Rajasthan, thus representing both the north and the south in the Rajya Sabha. No other VP before him can claim this privilege.
