V Arun Roy gets add charge as VC, TN National Law School

V Arun Roy (IAS:2003:TN), newly appointed registrar of Tamil Nadu National Law School in Srirangam, assumed the vice-chancellor in-charge of the institution.
The erstwhile VC N Murugavel had resigned from the post citing non-cooperation from the executive committee members. The process of selecting a new VC is under way.
Roy, who was Joint Secretary in the finance department, was appointed registrar on June 16. Roy had earlier served as MD, Poompuhar Shipping Corporation. The post of registrar was earlier held by Soundarapandian S, an academic who was transferred to another government law college a month ago.
