Uttarakhand DGP Anil Kumar Raturi (IPS:1987:UD) has warned the Tablighi Jamaat members and has asked them to report by April 6, 2020 or face an attempt to murder charges. There has been a rise in the case of COVID-19 in the hill state. This warning has been made to such Jamaat evangelists who attended the congregation in New Delhi last month. This is just to understand that 16 out of the 26 COVID-19 cases are linked to the Jamaat's congregation in Uttarakhand. Raturi said that anyone who has been part of the gatherings recently should produce themselves before the police and the administration by April 6. Their medical examination will be conducted and they will be put in quarantine and provided necessary medical assistance if the need be.
