Jaipur (30.06.2023): The Centre approved the proposal of the Government of Rajasthan seeking extension in service tenure of the incumbent Chief Secretary Usha Sharma (IAS: 1985: RJ) for a period of six months beginning 01.07.2023. Having extension being granted, she will serve as CS up to 31.12.2023. She was appointed as CS on February 1, 2022.Rajasthan made history in 2009 when Kushal Singh (Retd IAS: 1974: RJ) became the state's first woman Chief Secretary. Ashok Gehlot was the Chief Minister at that time also. Again in January 2022, Gehlot made Usha Sharma the Chief Secretary of the state.ALSO READ
