UP: Kaushal Raj Sharma appointed DM and Commissioner Varanasi

Lucknow (10.10.2022): Even rules are relaxed, ignored, twisted or compromised for some bureaucrats of importance. In one such case, the Uttar Pradesh government has appointed Kaushal Raj Sharma (IAS: 2006: UP) as DM of Varanasi and Divisional Commissioner as well. Varanasi is PM Narendra Modi’s constituency. He was earlier made Divisional Commissioner of Prayagraj but the next day i.e. July 30, 2022 his transfer was withdrawn. S Rajlingam replaced him as Varanasi DM but he was given some other posting.

Shambhu Kumar (IAS: 2012: UP) has been appointed as MD Poorvanchal Power Distribution Corporation.
Rupesh Kumar (IAS: 2009: UP) has been shifted to the Secondary Education Department.
Prashant Kumar (IAS: 2010: UP) has been appointed as Agriculture produce Department.
