Union Secretary Raj Kumar repatriates, tipped as Chief Secretary, Gujarat

2631New Delhi (13.11.2021): Raj Kumar (IAS:1987:GJ), Union Secretary, Department of Defence Production, was prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre at the request of the state government. In close quarters it is believed that he may be drafted as Chief Secretary, Gujarat; a post presently held by Pankaj Kumar, a 1986-batch IAS officer who had replaced Anil Mukim on September 01, 2021. Raj Kumar has a long residual service ending January 2025. It is understood that even though he is drafted as CS in the state till the upcoming assembly elections scheduled in 2022 or till the 2024 Lok Sabha elections he would have enough time to make a come back at Centre as Union Secretary.
