In a fresh order Government of India has temporarily downgraded two Additional Secretary rank posts to the rank of Joint Secretary. They are; Additional Secretary, DoPT vice Bhaskar Khulbe (IAS: 1983: WB) who got inducted into PMO recently and the post Secretary, CVC previously held by Kapil Dev Tripathy (IAS: 1980: AM) who is now Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises. Both the positions have been given to T Jacob (IAS: 1984: TN) and Alok Kumar (IAS: 1984: AM) respectively in the rank of Joint Secretary.
