The Tripura
government has adopted the method of empanelment of evaluating the suitability
for the appointment of Director and Additional Secretary in the various
departments from state civil service cadres. Accordingly,
an expert panel will assess the suitability of officers for posting to the
posts but those not having vigilance clearance and less than four years of
residual service on the first day of the year in which empanelment takes place
will be excluded. However, the
recommendation of expert panel will be examined by the screening committee headed
by the Chief Secretary and consisting of ranking officers in the government.
