New Delhi (31.07.2022): The Tamil Nadu Cadre IPS officer Sanjay Arora (1988) Sanjay Arora is appointed as Delhi Police Commissioner. Arora is set to take over from Rakesh Asthana on his placement on the basis of Inter-cadre deputation from TN to AGMUT. Arora will take charge on Monday.Currently, Arora is DG, ITBP and has a long way to go as he has a complete three years in hand to retire. Initially, it was rumored that Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana (IPS:1984:UT) on Saturday got an extension for another six months but finally it turns out to be rumour only.SSB DG SL Thaosen (IPS:1988:MP) shall now hold additional charge of the post of DG, ITBP.
