In a selection interview held on Oct 04, PESB selected Prakash Tiwari, for the post of Director (Operations) National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC); a post which is set to fall vacant with the retirement of KK Sharma on 31 October.
Currently, Tiwari serves as GGM, NTPC. Tiwari joined NTPC as an executive trainee in 1981 from Korba project. After tenure of nearly two decades at Korba, he was transferred to Ramagundam super thermal power station in the year 2000.
Tiwari has over 34 years of experience in commissioning, operation and maintenance of 200 and 500MW units.
Altogether nine candidates had appeared before the Board for interview namely; Kamlesh Kumar Singh, ED, NTPC, Dilip Kumar Dubey, ED, NTPC, Prakash Tiwari, GGM, NTPC, Debasis Sarkar, GGM, NTPC, Praveen Kumar Bondriya, GGM, NTPC, Asim Kumar Samanta, GGM, NTPC, Vinod Kumar Karn, GM, NHPC, Chandra Kant Tiwari, ED, IOCL, Kanti Biswas, Joint President, Adani Power Limited.
