They are Ravi Kant (IPS:1998: OR), Amit Kumar (IPS:1998: CG) and Velusamy Murugesan (IPS:1997: UD) Amit Kumar, a B Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi, is an expert in Cyber Crime and has equal command in Forensics and Circumstantial evidence. Ravi Kanta has often been in trouble while investigating the Coal Block allocation cases. He was put in charge of investigations into the coal scam after the SC slammed the UPA Govt in May 2013. It was then directed by the Supreme Court to re-appoint him in CBI till he completed the investigation. It was also directed that only after he would complete his assignment in CBI he would be sent back to IB.
