New Delhi (17.12.2024): On the expiry of the three year term on contract and deputation the New Delhi establishment extended the service of 17 officers appointed through Lateral Recruitment (2021-2022). Of seventeen officers three are working as Joint Secretary while twelve are Director and two are serving as Deputy Secretary in various ministries and departments in Govt of India. It may be underlined that officers appointed on contract would be required to enter into a fresh contract for the period of their extended appointment.
The list of Lateral Entry officers given extension in terms of appointment goes as follows:-
  1. Balasubramanian Krishnamurthy (Joint Secretary in the Department of Revenue) on contract- Extension up to 16.01.2027 (w.e.f. 17.01.2025)
  2. Samuel Praveen Kumar (Joint Secretary, Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare) on deputation- Extension up to 30.12.2026 (w.e.f. 31.12.2024)
  3. Manish Chadha (Joint Secretary, Commerce) on contract - Extension up to 06.01.2027 (w.e.f. 07.01.2025) 
  4. Govind K Bansal (Director, Health & Family Welfare) on contract - Extension up to 30.12.2025 (w.e.f. 31-12-2024) 
  5. Sagar Rameshrao Kadu (Director, Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade) on deputation- Extension up to 29.12.2026 (w.e.f. 29.12.2024)
  6. Harsha Bhowmik (Director, Economic Affairs) on contract- Extension up to 19.01.2027 (w.e.f. 19.01.2025) 
  7. Prabhu Narayan (Director, Economic Affairs) on deputation- Extension up to 30-12-2025 (w.e.f. 31-12-2024)
  8. Mateshwari Prasad Mishra (Director, Food & Public Distribution) on deputation- Extension up to 30.12.2026 (w.e.f. 31.12.2024)
  9. Haimanti Bhattacharya (Director, Legal Affairs) on contract- Extension up to 11.01.2026 (w.e.f. 12.01.2025) 
  10. Mandakini Balodhi (Director, Financial Service) on deputation- Extension up to 15.12.2026 (w.e.f. 15.12.2024)
  11. Kapil Ashok Bendre (Director, Agriculture, Cooperation & FW) on contract- Extension up to 30.12.2026 (w.e.f. 31.12.2024)
  12. Shekhar Chaudhary (Director, Economic Affairs) on deputation- Extension up to 27.12.2025 (w.e.f. 28.12.2024)
  13. Neeraj Gaba (Director, Commerce) on contract- Extension up to 27.02.2026 (w.e.f. 28.02.2025)
