New Delhi (23.09.2021): Following the appointment of over a dozen of 1989 batch IAS officers as Union Secretary in various ministries and departments the NaMo administration on Wednesday extended the tenure of temporary up-gradation /down-gradation of the posts presently held by 1987, 1991 & 1994 batch IAS officers. The list goes as follows:

• Extension in up-gradation of the post of Director-General, National Mission for Clean Ganga, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary, presently held by Rajiv Ranjan Mishra (lAS:1987:TG) for a term up to 31.12.2021.
• Extension in up-gradation of the post of MD, Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Ltd (TRIFED) from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary, presently held by Pravir Krishna (IAS:1987:MP)  for a term up to 31.12.2021
• Extension in up-gradation of the post of Principal Commissioner, Delhi Development Authority from the level of Joint Secretary to that of Additional Secretary, presently held by Manish Kumar Gupta (IAS:1991:UT) for a term up to 02.11.2021.
• Extension in up-gradation of the post of Mission Director, National Water Mission, Ministry of Jal Shakti from the level of Joint Secretary to that of Additional Secretary, presently held by G Asok Kumar (lAS:1991:TG) for a term up to 23.10.2022.
• Extension in up-gradation of the post of Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Power to the level of Additional Secretary presently held by Ashish Upadhyay (lAS:1989:MP) for a term up to 13.11.2022.
• Extension in up-gradation of the post of Member Secretary, Tariff Commission under DPIIT from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary, presently held by Ms. Shalini Prasad (lAS:1985:UP) for a term upto 19.11.2022.
• Extension in down-gradation of the post of Special Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs to the level of Additional Secretary presently held by Kamran Rizvi (lAS:1991:UP) for a term up to 22.12.2022.
• Temporary up-gradation of the post held by Ms Nidhi Chhibber (lAS:1994:CG) Additional Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries from the level of Joint Secretary to that of Additional Secretary.
