State DGP: Punjab Govt files petition in HC against CAT order

1185The Punjab Government and DGP Dinkar Gupta
(IPS:1987:PB) filed a petition in Punjab and Haryana High Court challenging the
CAT order quashing Gupta’s appointment as State DGP. Atul Nanda, Advocate General, Punjab, said that they filed
the petition adding that the case will be taken up on Tuesday. Additional
Advocate General Rameeza Hakim appeared on behalf of the state while a counsel
for DGP Gupta also appeared before the the division Bench of Justice Rajiv
Sharma and Justice Harinder Singh Sidhu.
