The Government of India has moved Cabinet note which proposes to shut down as many as six sick state owned units namely; HMT Watches, Tungbhadra Steel, Hindustan Cables, HMT Charminar Watches & Hindustan Photo Films Ltd.
Out of 61 sick central public sector enterprises (CPSEs) 15 are expected to be taken up in the second phase for closure.
