Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that Jagdip Narayan Singh (IAS:1983:GJ) may be named as new Chief Secretary to the Govt of Gujarat. The outgoing Chief Secretary Ganga Ram Aloria (IAS:1981:GJ) is scheduled to retire this month. This sets at rest the speculations about repatriation of Union Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia (IAS:1981:GJ) as Gujarat CS. Earlier there were speculations that Aloria might be given a three-month extension beyond July 31 which looks unlikely in the present scenario.
