Shekhar Prasad Singh (IAS:1983:TL) appointed Chief Secretary to the Govt of Telangana. He replaces Pradeep Chandra (IAS:1982:TL) who superannuated on 31st December 2016 after Telangana Govt's extension proposal to Centre failed to catalyze. Chandra had a very short sting as CS. He took over on 01st December 2016 and retired on 31st December 2016.
Prior to his appointment as Chief Secretary S P Singh served in the state as Special Chief Secretary, Panchayati Raj.
