The public sector headhunter on Monday selected Anshuman Sharma (IRSEE:1984) for the post of Managing Director, Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation Of India Limited (DFCCIL). Currently Sharma serves on the Board of DFCCIL as Director (Projects).
PESB had interviewed five candidates namely; Anshuman Sharma, Director (Projects) DFCCIL; Dhirendra Singh Rana Director (Infra) DFCCIL; Arun Kumar Shrivastava (ED, CONCOR); R S Khurana, Director (Projects) MRVC and Sanjeev Singh (ED, PGCIL).
Sharma, subject to requisite clearances and ACC ratification, would succeed the outgoing MD Adesh Sharma who will be retiring on 30th of this month. But it appears that it be too short for ACC to clear his appointment before 30th June and hence there may be an ad hoc arrangement till his appointment is ratified.
An IIT Rurkee Alumnus Sharma is a bridge design and execution specialist with 16 years experience in planning and execution of Railway Construction projects. One appointed Sharma will have more that five and a half years long tenure as DFCCIL chief.
