The NaMo administration on Monday appointed Challa Sreenivasulu Setty as the Managing Director of the State Bank of India for a period of three years. Currently, Setty is serving as the Deputy Managing Director of the SBI. As per the terms of appointment his service may be extended by two years subject to Govt’s decision.

The Banks Board Bureau (BBB) had on October 24, 2019 recommended Setty’s name for the post of Managing Director of State Bank of India (SBI); a post which fell vacant after the resignation of Ansula Kant, who was appointed MD & CFO of the World Bank earlier last year.
