1560New Delhi (11.01.2023): If some well-placed sources are to be believed the selection interview for two Member posts in the Central Board of Direct Taxes is scheduled to be held on tomorrow (12.01.2023). It may be underlined that on two previous occasions, the selection meeting was postponed for reasons well known to the insiders. A section of insiders believes that in case it is postponed for the third consecutive time it would bring more clarity over the reasons for the delay and endorse the buzz going inside the cadre. Another section of insiders believes that two more vacancies arising in April and May this year could also be taken up. It may be underlined that Mrs. Sangeeta Singh (IRS IT:1986) is retiring in April whereas Mrs. Anuja Sarangi (IRS IT:1985) is retiring in May this year. Ahead of the selection interview, a third stream of insiders says that the interview takes place or it is postponed again either way it would indicate who dominates the turf in the Board and the Ministry of Finance.
