Hyderabad (11.01.2023): Following the Telangana High Court’s verdict the Government of Telangana appointed A Santhi Kumari (IAS:1989:TG) as the new Chief Secretary of Telangana. She took over as the first woman Chief Secretary of Telangana.  She may have a tenure till April 2025 i.e. till her retirement or beyond. 
The Telangana High Court on Tuesday reversed the order of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Hyderabad, allotting Telangana cadre to senior IAS officer and outgoing chief secretary of the state Somesh Kumar (IAS:1989:TG) following which Santhi Kumari was appointed new CS. 
Reportedly, Somesh Kumar will report to the Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday as per the instructions of the Department of Personnel and Training.
