New Delhi (17.09.2024): If some well-placed sources are to be believed the New Delhi establishment is considering the name of former Union Secretary Ali Raza Rizwi (Retd IAS: 1988: HP) for the post of Member, Public Enterprise Selection Board. A Member post in PESB has been lying vacant since Sailesh (Retd IAS: 1985: AM) completed his term months back.
Further, Rizwi retired as Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises on 31.07.2024.
The appointment of a Member in PESB has become imperative because in the next few weeks posts will fall vacant. The Chairperson and the senior-most Member will vacate the Board on completion of tenure. Chairperson Mallika Srinivasan will conclude her term in November whereas Member Amarjit Sinha (Retd IAS: 1983: BH) will conclude his term in December.
