Indianmandarins has learnt that the selection interview for CMD, Projects & Equipment Corporation of India, will be held on Tuesday 3 May 2016. The post fell vacant after the superannuation of A K Mirchandani.
It is being perceived as more than a coincidence that the selection interview for Director (marketing) and CMD are being held subsequently. On April 29, the PESB had selected Anupam Mishra (GM, STC) for Director (Marketing).
PEC was initially a subsidiary of State Trading Corporation of India and became an independent Company, directly under the Ministry of Commerce, on March 27, 1991. Primary businesses of the company are related to exports, imports, deemed exports, third country trading, arranging financing, logistics, project exports and management. It has evolved into initiator and intermediary, developer as well as facilitator for global trade.
Over a decade it expanded its role as an international business organizer and a provider of integrated trade facilitating services. Since the early nineties, it has entered into the exchange of commodities, goods and services between India and the nations of the world.
