seci-faces-shortfall-in-board-level-officials  Solar Energy Corporation of India has a mammoth task to accomplish but it has been facing a major shortfall of Director level officials, responsible for important verticals, on its board. Two critical posts are currently vacant - of Director (Solar) and Director (Power Systems). Interestingly both vacant posts have not yet been notified by PESB. Further, Managing Director Ashvini Kumar is due for superannuation in July 2017 but the process of finding his replacement has not yet been initiated. It may be noted in addition to MD post, SECI has four Director level posts, namely, Director (Power System), Director (Solar), Director (Finance) and Director (HR). It is feared that the delay in appointment of critical officials may cast its shadow on SECI's ambitious target of deploying 20,000 MW of grid-connected solar power by 2022 and reducing the cost of solar power generation in the country and to achieve grid tariff parity by 2022.
