After the centre approved the inter-cadre deputation of Sanjay Kumar (IAS:1990:BH) yesterday (Jan 22) the government of Jharkhand formally appointed him as Principal Secretary to Raghubar Das, the first non-tribal chief minister of Jharkhand.
'Indianmandarins' had anticipated the appointment of Kumar as Ps to CM in its report on December 29, 2014.
Having served as DC, East Singhbhum district and DC, West Singhbhum district between 1996 & 1999 Kumar has at least fair experience of serving on the grounds in the tribal belts of Jharkhand; the then undivided Bihar.
