New Delhi (19.05.2021): SAIL-ISP Burnpur has built a 200-bed oxygen-equipped to take care of patients afflicted by the Coronavirus in its township and surrounding areas. Union Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan dedicated the facility in service of the nation on May m19, 2021. The facility is also equipped with 10 ventilators and 8 ICU beds. The facility was created by converting the 32-room Chhotadighari Vidyapeeth HS School. This new temporary facility is a part of the 500-bed Jumbo Covid-care center being established by SAIL for providing critical care. Speaking on the occasion, Pradhan appreciated the job done by SAIL in fighting the Xi Jinping virus. He pointed out that SAIL's efforts were in tune with the PM's direction. He advised SAIL to vaccinate all its employees as well as contract workers. Minister of State for Steel Faggan Singh Kulaste, MoS Environment, Forest & Climate Change Babul Supriyo and MLA, South Asansol, Ms. Agnimitra Paul, and Ms. Mrs Soma Mondal, Chairman, SAIL were also present at the event along with senior officials of the Ministry of Steel and SAIL.
