New Delhi (12.05.2025): The additional charge of the post of Chairman & Managing Director, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. has been given to Santosh Kumar Sarangi (IAS: 1994: OR) till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The key position in SECI fell vacant after the Centre sacked its Chairman Rameshwar Prasad Gupta (Retd IAS: 1987: GJ) over a month ahead of the completion of tenure.Currently, Sarangi is Secretary, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy and formerly he worked as DG, Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
