Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) has compulsorily retired 22 more senior officers (citing
public interest) serving at Supritendent/AO level officers under the
Fundamental Rule 56(J) due to corruption and other charges and CBI traps. It
may be noted that 12 (IRS IT) officers from CBDT and 15 IRS (C&CE) officers
from CBIC serving at Assistan Commissioner, Commissioner and Principal Chief Commissoner
level were compulsorily retired under Fundamental Rule 56(J) earlier in month
of June this year. Details of present
cases is as below:
