RERA: Ex ACS to Delhi CM Kejriwal is now Chairperson in Punjab

New Delhi (23.12.2022): The Government of Punjab rewarded Satya Gopal (1988:AGMUT), former Additional Chief Secretary to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, with the coveted post of RERA Chairperson. He will have a tenure of five years or till attaining the age of sixty-five years i.e. July 2027.

In the exercise of the powers conferred by Section 20 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016 the Governor of Punjab approved the Punjab Government’s proposal to appoint Satya Gopal as Chairperson of RERA, Punjab.

It may be underlined that seven months ahead of retirement from IAS he became ACS to Delhi Chief Minister along with the additional charge of the posts of ACS (Power) and ACS (Environment & Forests in the Govt of Delhi. Earlier he had vast experience of running the state administration as Chief Secretary of the bordering state of Arunachal Pradesh.
