Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that S Ramaswamy (IAS:1986:UD) may shortly be named as successor to Shatrughan Singh (IAS:1983:UD), the outgoing Chief Secretary to the Govt of Uttarakhand.
Immediately after Shatrughan Singh's appointment to the coveted post of CIC in Uttarakhand, two names had cropped up as strongest claimants of the top post namely; Utpal Kumar Singh (IAS:1986:UD) S Ramaswamy. Singh is currently posted at Centre as Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare whereas Ramaswamy currently serves as Additional Chief Secretary in the state.
