Breaking with the past, Rahul Gandhi was quick to take to Twitter to publicly censure Mani Shankar Aiyar for his despicable 'neech' remark against Narendra Modi.
"BJP and PM routinely use filthy language to attack Congress party. Congress has a different culture and heritage. I do not appreciate the tone and language used by Mr. Mani Shankar Aiyar to address the PM. Both the Congress and I expect him to apologize for what he said," he tweeted.
Quickly following on Rahul's tweet, Aiyar was suspended and issued a show-cause notice. This, again, signaled that Rahul won't let his party members hold him hostage to their temperament and political inclinations.
