Accordingly, Rahul may take a short break and is said to be planning to travel out for a few days in the new year to recharge his batteries with foreign air and climate. Congress president Sonia Gandhi is already out of Delhi and Rahul is expected to join her. However, there is no guarantee that he would return as a more sensible person. In the last few weeks, he threatened an earthquake in Parliament, leveling corruption charges against the Prime Minister while speaking at a series of public meetings, and addressed a press conference with leaders of several opposition parties since the government stuck to its remonetization plan. On each occasion, he ended in making a spectacle of himself.
