New Delhi (12.06.2025): Bijender Goel, founder of the Modern Pythian Games and Dr Shantanu Agrahari,  President of the Pythian Council of India, on June 11, 2025 announced that the first Global Pythonova Games would be held from December 3 to 5, 2025, in New Delhi. The venue is not yet finalised but it may be held either at Indira Gandhi Indore Stadium or Thyagaraj Stadium.
Goel, a true visionary is not only conceived Pythian Games but got intellectual property right registered for it. Under his leadership, the Modern Pythian Games movement is spreading across India and around the world. His contributions to art, culture, and the revival of the Pythian Games will inspire generations to come. “We are not able to fully gauge impact of his initiative today, but history will remember him for pioneering a global celebration of creativity and unity,” said Rajesh Jogpal (IAS: 2010: HY). 
The support of people from bureaucracy tells the importance of the even. The presence of Sanjay Srivastava IAS, Dalip Singh IAS, R K Srivastava IAS, Shantanu Agrahari IAS, Sahil Seth IRS, Anuradha Pal IAS, Akash Jain IRS, Vishnu Sharma IPS is testimony to the fact that the vision of Modern Pythian Games is a movement for the future. This initiative will establish India as the cultural capital of the world as there are many plans in the pipeline. One of the members of the Pythian Council of India B H Anil Kumar said that India would be known as the soul of humanity through this mission.
Goel informed that preparations for the December events are going on in full swing with strong institutional and international support. A meeting with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) resulted in an assurance of full cooperation in this global sporting-cultural mission. He also informed that discussions with Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India, were fruitful, and support from the Government is anticipated to ensure inclusive participation of persons with disabilities. The game in December is only focused on them.
A delegation from the Pythian Council will call on Chief Minister of Delhi Rekha Gupta and the Secretary, Ministry of Culture, to seek their formal support for the Games. This is an attempt to strengthen collaborations further with various organisation, institutions and governments. Goel proudly announced that the International Delphic Committee (Russian Federation), the Ecumenical Delphic Union (Greece), and the Government of Cyprus have officially extended their support to the Modern Pythian Games movement. This is the breakthrough on the international front.
“In a world fragmented by divisions, the Modern Pythian Games offer a global stage for unity through culture,” said Goel He also announced plans to introduce a centralized franchise model in the governance structure of the Pythian Games at global, national, and local levels, to ensure efficient, accountable, and scalable execution.
Shantanu Agrahari, President of the Pythian Council of India, announced that the next National Pythian Games will be organized in September/October 2025
