Indianmandarins has learnt that the outgoing Secretary of Central Information Commission Atanu Purkayastha (IAS:1983:WB) may be in the reckoning for appointment as Member (Admin) at National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). Reportedly his name has been recommended 9on panel) for the post. He is scheduled to retire on February 29 this year.
The post fell vacant after Sudhir Kumar (IAS:1982:BH) repatriated to his state cadre as Principal Secretary to Deputy CM, Govt of Bihar. Currently Satish Chandra (IAS:1984:PB) holds the additional charge of Member (Admin).
