SHIMLA (06.06.2026): An FIR has been registered by the police against retired Chief Secretary and former RERA chairman Shrikant Baldi (Retd IAS: 1985: HP) on a defamation complaint by former Himachal Pradesh CS Sanjay Gupta (Retd IAS: 1988: HP).

Gupta alleged Baldi made false, malicious, and defamatory imputations against him through press statements and media dissemination. Gupta took charge as the chairman of the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) on June 3, 2026. Baldi served as RERA chairman from January 2020 up to Dec 2024.
