Chandigarh (18.03.2023):The Punjab government has sent an interim report to Union Home ministry on the issue of security breach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the state in January last year. Punjab Chief SecretaryV K Janjua sent a letter to the Home Ministry informing action taken against the officers held responsible by the committee headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice Indu Malhotra.
The committee in its report has found nine officers responsible for lapses including the then state Chief Secretary Anirudh Tewari, the then Punjab DGP S Chattopadhyaya, and other top officers for lapses.
