Puja Khedkar recalled to LBSNAA; training put on hold

New Delhi (16.07.2024): Probationary IAS Puja Khedkar has been recalled to Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) and her training has been put on hold. This is the first major action against her. Earlier she was transferred from Pune to Washim due to various allegations related to disability and OBC certificates. She has been recalled to the training academy for further necessary action.

The release from General Administration Department said: "You are hereby relieved from the District Training Programme of the state government of Maharashtra." She has been instructed to "join the academy at the earliest" but not later than July 23.

Puja Khedkar had submitted two certificates provided by the Ahmednagar District Civil Hospital in 2018 and 2021 to the UPSC under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category. The UPSC sent her to AIIMS for medical check-up. However, she skipped six appointments for check-up at AIIMS between April and August 2022. This entire issue is being probed by an additional secretary of Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
