New Delhi (18.11.2024): Two days ahead of the completion of Girish Chandra Murmu’s (Retd IAS: 1984: GJ) tenure as CAG the President of India appointed K Sanjay Murthy (IAS: 1989: HP) as new Comptroller & Auditor General of India (CAG). He will take oath on 21st November as G C Murmu's successor. Currently, Murthy is Secretary, Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education and is schdeuled to attain superannuation on 31.12.2024.With Murthy’s appointment as CAG another Secretary post falls vacant in addition to Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, DoPT and Department of Public Sector Enterprise (DPE).
