Union Territory of Puducherry will have its first woman Director General of Police (DGP) with S Sundari Nanda being appointed to the top post. Sundari Nanda, a 1988 batch police officer, belonging to the AGMUT cadre, has been transferred from National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCTD) and posted as DGP. The incumbent, S K Gautam (IPS:1989:AGMUT), has been transferred and posted in the NCTD.
