Joint Secretaries in the PMO have been entrusted with the responsibility to deal with six verticals from A to P. They will report to P K Mishra, Ajit Doval, P K Sinha, Bhaskar Khulbe and Amarjeet Sinha. These changes have been made after Tarun Bajaj and A K Sharma were shifted from PMO in the latest reshuffle.

Dr P K Mishra looks after vertical E that includes personnel, vigilance, law and justice, anti-corruption unit (CBI), Cabinet secretariat, ACC and ACC files and monitoring. Jt Secretary V Sheshadri (IAS:1999:TG) will report to him for these matters and will also report to Khulbe on Home affairs. Doval is taking care of external affairs, defence, NTRO and NSCS.

PMO has six JSs at the moment, two IFS officers and four IAS officers. Verticals that these officers will be dealing with the economy, finance, infrastructure, HR, governance, foreign and security, agriculture, rural, social, administration and monitoring etc.

Gopal Baglay (IFS:1992) has been assigned science and technology, Aadhar, DBT, earth science, IT, communications and digital payments while Rudra Gaurav Shresth (IFS:1999) is looking after external affairs, defence, NTRO, NSCS, Atomic Energy and space.

Arvind Shrivastava (IAS:1994: Karnataka) has been assigned finance, economy, corporate affairs, commerce, heavy industries, MSME, Labour and employment, textiles and steels and will report to P K Sinha. Shrikar Pardeshi (IAS:2001:MH) will look after agriculture, social, welfare, administration and rural, PMO security and public relations. Pardeshi will report to Khulbe for administration and PMO security and to Amarjeet Sinha for remaining matters.

Hiren Joshi, OSD, looking after publicity and public relations will report to Pardeshi. Rohit Yadav (IAS:2002:CG) has been given the responsibility of infrastructure, governance including parliament, parliamentary affairs and RTI, monitoring and coordination and resources.

All these JS have also been assigned different States. As per the hierarchy, director level officials have to report to these JS, who in turn report to the senior officials like Principal Secretary, NSA, Principal Advisor and Advisors.
