Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at 11 am on 04 September, would be addressing the ‘Dikshant Parade’ of 2018 batch IPS probationers at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy via video conferencing. Reportedly, as the chief guest at the passing out parade PM will interact with the young police officers. As many as 131 IPS probationers including 28 lady probationers would be in passing out parade and graduating from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad on 04 September. `Dikshant Parade' marks the culmination of eleven months training of IPS Probationers in the Academy. The chief guest takes the salute from the parade consisting of the IPS probationers and the best probationers of the batch perform important roles such as parade commander and platoon commander. Presently, Atul Karwal (IPS:1988:GJ) is heading the SVPNPA as its Director whereas probationer DV Kiran Shruthi, allocated to Tamil Nadu Cadre, has been selected as the best probationer for the batch.
