PM clears the appointment of Dir (Power); orders expected shortly

Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that the Appointment Committee of Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister, has cleared PESB's recommendation made for the post of Director (Power) BHEL. Reportedly, orders to this effect will be issued next week.
PESB had selected Akhil Joshi (ED- PL&J, BHEL) for Director (Power) on 19 April 2016.
The post fell vacant one 01 January 2016 after Atul Sobti took over as BHEL CMD on 31 December 2015. Sobti holds the additional charge of Director (Power) BHEL.
Joshi was selected from among twelve candidates that included 10 internal candidates and 06 external candidates.
