Corruption and malpractices are alleged in the International Goodwill Society of India (IGSI) which was usurped by a retired IAS officer Sri Narain with the help of another former IAS R K Bhatnagar. Narain is accused of using the society for his personal gains and to achieve his social and political goals. Using his connections, he twisted all norms of society to captured it.

Permanent Executive Council (PEC) is the supreme body of IGSI in deciding every matter regarding the development and growth of Society. As per the IGSI constitution, PEC members can never be removed, expelled till death except in case of resignation. But PEC members alleged that in violation of rules and regulations, Sri Narain did not call any PEC meeting and with the help of his relative Bhatnagar he conspired and reconstituted the illegal Executive Committee. He got a new current bank account of IGSI opened at Meerut in 2011 by using their influence, power and position breaking every rule.

Narain and Bhatnagar had used their influence to get the society registered in Narain’s favor with the help of fake and fraud PEC members by submitting false affidavit and false FIR in police in the office of Dy Registrar FSC, Haridwar.

Narain even expelled all eight PEC members arbitrarily which was again a major violation of the registered constitution of IGSI and become so-called Central President of IGSI. How a single PEC member can expel the whole PEC members? All this was done by Narain by virtue of his influence and misuse of office he holds from time to time as presently he is Chancellor of H N B Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal (Uttarakhand).

The organization was formed by Justice Dr Nagendra Singh and Dr A B Garg with its first Central President and Secretary-General respectively along with nine PEC members in July 1981.
