New Delhi (28.11.2024): The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has requested PESB to disclose the reserved name (in a sealed cover) from its panel dated 20.08.2024 for the post of Director, Planning & Business Development (P&BD) in IOCL.

The development takes place in the backdrop of Arvindar Singh Sahney’s appointment as IOCL Chairman.

It may be underlined that PESB had on 08.08.2024 recommended Sahney for the post of Director, Planning & Business Development (P&BD), IOCL. Before ACC cleared his appointment the Search-cum-selection committee picked him for the Chairman post in IOCL thus necessitating the reserved name to be considered for appointment as Director (P&BD), IOCL.

The post of Director (P&BD) fell vacant after the retirement of Sujoy Choudhury on 31.08.2024. If some well-placed sources are to be believed Suman Kumar (ED, E&P), IOCL may appear as the stand by candidate.
