Bhubaneswar (16.08.2024): The Odisha government on Friday appointed Yogesh Bahadur Khurania (IPS: 1990: OD) as the new director general of police (DGP) of the state. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) recommended three names for the top post out of those names the Odisha government selected Khurania as DGP.Khurania, who was serving as the special director general (DG) of Border Security Force (BSF), western command in Chandigarh, and was repatriated to his parent cadre on August 2. He had served as police commissioner of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack before he proceeded on Central deputation has vast experience in Odisha as he has served in various positions.
