The NaMo administration on Friday
appointed Anup Kumar Singh (IPS:1985:GJ) as new Director General of National
Security Guards (NSG) for a period ending 30.09.2020 i.e. till his retirement. Singh, presently Police
Commissioner, Ahmedabad, replaces Sudeep Lakhtakia (IPS:1984:AP) who retired
July this year. He will take over from S S Deswal (IPS:1984:HY) who presently
officiating as DG, NSG.
