It will help people communicate and register their civic problems directly to it through photographs. While launching the application Rama Raman (IAS:1987:UP), Chairperson and CEO of Noida Authority, said that "Mobile governance will help us expedite redress complaints. We are trying to make most government services available to citizens through cell phones". Through the application, users will be able to use 65 services for redress. So far as features and provisions of the app are concerned the app allows users to submit photographic evidence of their woes, such as a pothole, littered garbage, water logging, inoperative streetlights, encroachment, etc. The application automatically captures the longitude and latitude of the location, as well as date and time of submission. Timelines for every service are mentioned on it. After a complaint is submitted, the complainant will receive an SMS acknowledgment with a number. A tracker will help them keep track of the complaint and its follow-up action. The app, 'Noida Citizen Charter', can be downloaded from the Google play store. Aiming at making Noida a clean and green city through technology interfaces Rama Raman (chairperson and CEO of the Authority) hopes that the application will not only empower residents but will transform the way the residents interact with the Authority and society at large. Initially, the application is only available on the Android platform. Other Smartphone users will be able to download it after July 4, 2015.
