Tenure of Amltabh Kant (IAS:1980:KL), CEO of NITI Aayog, has been extended for a period ending 30 June 2019. He was appointed the chief executive officer of the government think tank on February 17, 2016 for a two-year term.
Before taking over as the CEO of National Institution for Transforming India (Niti Aayog), he was Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion.
