New Delhi (17.11.2022):Sudhansh Pant (IAS: 1991: RJ) will be relieved on November 30, 2022 by the Rajasthan government to take charge of the new responsibility in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. The order in this regard has been issued by the Rajasthan government and he is relieved as DG, HCM-RIPA.
Pant will work as OSD in the Ministry before taking over as the full-time Secretary on February 1, 2023 when incumbent Secretary Sanjeev Ranjan retires. As of now, 3 Rajasthan cadre IAS – V Srinivas (IAS: 1989: RJ), Rohit Kumar Singh (IAS: 1989: RJ), and Sanjay Malhotra (IAS: 1990: RJ) – are posted as Secretaries whereas, Neel Kamal Darbari (IAS: 1987: RJ) is posted as Chairperson, which is a post akin to Secretary.
Meanwhile, with Pant’s departure, the post of DG, HCM-RIPA will lay vacant & a senior officer will have to be appointed here while there is a dearth of senior officers in the State bureaucracy.
